where is my tomato

This was such a fun, paper-ripping, crumpling, peel-glue-off-of-hands kind of time this past weekend. It was a project for my former but still amazing teacher, Lara.

The task was to create a ransom note with found type. I didn’t really have an ‘or else’ to go with it, though. My inspiration? The passive aggressive notes that can be found in the kitchen at work (i.e. ‘Who put the carbonated beverage in the freezer?’).

It feels like just yesterday that Mikey G and Dan from Danville were winning Spring Sing 2006, but now Lady Danville have toured with Ben Folds, Dashboard Confessional, Guster, and Jack’s Mannequin (what a list), and have finally released their first official music video. And the video is so wonderfully them. Those old folks rejuvenate me! It really is inspiring to watch great, talented people go from college boys to successful musicians, facial hair and bowties and all.
