Ten years ago, I was 15 and didn’t know how to be anything but scared. But thinking about it now, it’s hard to be anything but hopeful. Because I don’t think about the hatred that caused it. Those thoughts don’t even cross my mind. All I can think about are the people who experienced it together, which is all of us, and the people who made sacrifices as a result. And they do it for the people, too.

I wish there weren’t so many angry dots on the New York Times ‘Where Were You on September 11, 2001?’ map.

This song says everything else that I don’t know how to say.
